Websites and membership tools for organizations with a public to serve.

Built around the task your people came to finish. LSCalado is a small company informed by its founder's 22 years of hands-on work at Aero Design. Leonardo da Silva Calado scopes, builds, and supports the work himself.

Start a project How a project runs

Who it is for

Associations, educational programs, foundations, nonprofits, small businesses, and community organizations. Each page below describes the year that kind of organization runs on, and where the website fits in it.

  • Associations

Renewals, member rates, conference registration, and a directory staff can update without a developer.

  • Educational institutions

Program sites, registration, and resource pages for a department or program, without replacing the student system.

  • Foundations

Program pages, eligibility, deadlines, and grant announcements that staff can update the day the guidelines change.

  • Nonprofits

A site a small staff can keep true, with one clear next step for each visitor and a realistic plan for upkeep.

  • Small businesses

A site that says what you do, where, and how to start, on a platform you will not have to babysit.

  • Community organizations

This week's meetings and shifts on a page people can read on a phone, kept current by a volunteer.

What we fix

  • A renewal form that does not know the member, so staff renew people by phone.
  • An event page that shows a member the non-member price.
  • A deadline that is right in the PDF and wrong on the web page.
  • A site only one person can edit, and that person left.
  • A server nobody has patched, and a backup nobody has restored.

What we build

Public websites, membership and event tools, connections to the systems you already run, migrations off an old site, and the hosting and care after launch.

Why the years matter

Leonardo has built websites since October 2000. From September 2004 he worked at Aero Design, where the team page lists him as Director of Innovation and a partner since 2023. His work there included Drupal sites for associations, nonprofits, and educational organizations: membership, commerce, migrations, integrations, and the servers under them.

What that teaches is the calendar. Renewals come in a wave. Conference registration opens and closes on a date. A term starts whether the site is ready or not. The editor who knew the site leaves. LSCalado plans around those weeks. Aero Design's clients and case studies belong to Aero Design and are not shown here as ours.

How we work

We learn who uses the site and what week of your year is hardest. We write a scope that says what is in and what is out. We build the hardest screen first and show it to you on a phone. Then we build the rest, test it, hand over the accounts and the notes, and stay on if you want us to. The steps are on the approach page.

How to start

A fixed-scope website, a paid discovery for a system we have not seen, a platform project in phases, or care for a site you already have. There is no price list. The number is written for the scope. How engagements work.

If you are scoring proposals, the procurement page lists what we can document and what we cannot.

What you can check

There is no LSCalado client project published here yet. The work page keeps three kinds of evidence apart: client work, when a client agrees to show it; Leonardo's professional experience, which is not a list of our clients; and two working concepts, built for invented organizations and labeled as demonstrations.
